Marty Reininger

It has been fun re-connecting with some old friends and classmates. Some I saw at our 45th reunion. I will look forward to attending our 50th, this Summer.

50 years. Wow, was it really 50 years ago? Both my children attended Paly as well. After Paly, I attended UCLA. Enjoyed my time in Los Angeles but knew I wanted to return to the Bay Area to live. Met my wife Laura in LA and we have been married for 47 years.

Okay, so I don't remember too many "successful" Senior pranks except the one I was involved with. My fellow classmates George Pelkey and Fred Ebert obtained about 20 used tires. One night, we off loaded the tires in the bushes near the Tower building. We pulled the pin on the flag pole, lowered it down and ran as many tires onto it as possible. We attached a flag with our initials on it and raised the flag pole. Once the pole was raised, the tires slid down making it impossible to remove them without taking them off one by one up and over the top of the pole. We placed a few left over tires in the corridors. Only a few trusted friends knew who did this and now that the statute of limitations has expired....well, now you know.
