Liberty Logan, Paul Currier's daughter, posted on Paul Currier's Facebook page on November 6th:

I am sorry to say that our Dad passed away this weekend. It was very sudden. He got some news about 2 weeks ago that he was very ill. We will know more when the medical examiner finishes looking at him.

Paul Talbot Currier - RIP

I was saddened today to learn of the recent death of our colorful friend Paul Currier. I have no details other than he did not survive long enough to enjoy the San Francisco Giants victory in the World Series.

Coming this soon after Gary Fazzino's passing one cannot help but reflect on this eternal mystery we call life.

I just happened to read about Paul's passing in a blog post comment by Scott Bell (the blog post was about our band, Osiris, opening for Kingfish (Bob Weir) at the Stanford Music Hall on 12/31/1974; Paul was our manager at the time). I had really been looking forward to seeing Paul at the reunion, but at the last minute he decided he couldn't make it. Really shocked to hear of another old buddy passing away.

What a shock to see this posting about Paul.  I wondered why I hadn't seen any  of his always interesting posts on Facebook recently.  He was such a tireless champion for social justice.  Good, big heart and keen mind.

I am so sorry to hear about Paul's death.  I'm happy that I was able to reestablish contact with him in the last few years and let him know how much his friendship meant to me.  We had some good times!  His spirit will always be alive.

Paul and I took LSD on the first day of our Senior year at Paly. After our Psychology class, Bob Shreve asked us to please not come to class like that again. Of course, we all knew what happened to THAT guy ;).
