Barbara A. Blank VIEW PROFILE

Barbara A. Blank

We are just learning that Barbie died yesterday, June 20, 2013, from injuries resulting from a hit and run accident in Moss Landing. Barbie was such a strong full-of-life individual, it is hard to imagine that even a car could take her down. She was with her love, doing one of her favorite activities....

From Facebook... "I am very saddened by the loss of my brother Eddie's sweetheart & lifetime partner Barbara Blank who died today from multiple injuries from last weekend's motorcycle accident. She was a very special member of our family & we will all miss her very much. We are praying for my brother who has lost the love of his life."

A memorial service is being planned, information will be posted both here and on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/barbara.blank when available.

9th grade:  How that girl could make me laugh!  Barb was a true and loyal friend.  Upbeat, enthusiastic, fun.  Empathetic, thoughtful, caring.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Barb was one of my dates during the Jordan/Terman computer dating dance.  I was stunned that someone so popular was paired up with me.  She was very kind and friendly to me then and that continued all the way through Paly.  That will stay with me forever.  I will always remember Barb and her wonderful, fun and kind personality.  She will be very sorely missed.

I found out yesterday that the memorial service is today, and I am out of town so I cannot attend. I would very much like to be there.

How I best remember Barbie: she was so accepting and inclusive. She invited me to her house for swim gatherings and brought me into her group of friends, and this helped me feel included at Paly. We Iost touch over the years, but when we saw each other at the 20th and 40th reunions, it was the same Barbie with that radiant smile.  A very special person.

I was so sad to learn of Barb's passing.  She was an incredible woman, and a great friend to me in junior high and especially high school, opening her house to me, and allowing me to stay when circumstances in my parent's house were too strained for me to stay there.  We lost track of each other over the years, but I so enjoyed seeing her at the reunion.  You left us too soon, Barbie!

Wow, I had not been on this site for a while, looking to join up with everyone this September including Barbie I saw that she passed away. What a loss for this world and for our class. She was a sparkle and a smile of joy to everyone who knew her. I went with Barbie to look for colleges all the way up the coast of California, Oregon and Washington back when we were Juniors at Paly.  We were friends for many years thru Junior High and HIgh school.  She was a great person. I know she is missed by many. God rest her soul.
