A long time ago..... After Paly, I attended Prescott College in Prescott Arizona for 2 years. Then I worked for the college for another two. It was there that I fell in love with the southwest. In 1974 I married a student I met there, Anne, and we moved to Escondido California, where we worked on her parent's ranch. In 1977 we divorced and I moved back to Santa Barbara (where my parents had relocated) long enough to get my commerical pilot certificate. In 1978 I took what I thought was a summer job towing and instructing in gliders in Colorado Springs, CO. I ended up staying in Colorado with the execption of '81-'83 when I was back in Santa Barbara getting an AS degree.

In '83 I married Alice whom I met when I was instructing in gliders. Since then I have worked for Lockheed Martin (13 years) and Qwest (8 years). In 2006 I was laid off from Qwest and spent the summer riding my motorcycle and helping my father take care of my mom. In the fall of 2006 I decided to find a job in something I've always wanted to do and so I have been working at Barnes and Noble selling books until May of 2014.

In May of 2012 my best friend from Paly, Terry Miller, and I spent a week riding motorcycles in Austria and Germany. A fantastic trip and it was great to get caught up with Terry.
.
Alice and I have been married over 30 years. Last year we celebrated our anniversary by walking Hadrian's Wall in England. We spent 10 days walking from Newcastle to Carlisle. Best trip of our lives.

My wife Alice is a program manager and instructional designer for Quantum Corporation. She is a flight instructor, aircraft mechanic, motorcycle racer and my best friend (who else would put up with me for so long?).

Since I've left Paly I've been a pilot, a computer professional, written a book on flying, built a kayak and raced motorcycles. After all this time I still don't know what I really want to do but I'm beginning to think I should have been a farmer. I'm on Facebook should anyone want to say hi.
